Mivule is an 8-piece Afro Reggae band based out of Vancouver, BC, Canada. Their music is centred around roots reggae and Afrobeat, but the band is expanding their sound to include more genres such as jazz and funk.  Mivule has performed at a number of local festivals including Ignite the Arts Festival (Penticton, BC), Northwest Folklife Festival (Seattle, WA), Robson Valley Music Festival (Dunster, BC), and the African Descent Festival (Vancouver, BC).

Lead singer Brian Baroda draws on his experiences as a South Sudanese refugee to infuse the music with hopeful messages in English and East African languages.  Themes of peace, justice, and love are common in the song lyrics.  After receiving a grant from the Canada Council for the Arts, Mivule released their first album in September, 2024.
